rosterThe port need not comply with formal sealed bidding procedures for the construction, building, renovation, remodeling, alteration, repair, or improvement of real property where the estimated cost does not exceed Three Hundred Thousand Dollars ($300,000.00), which includes the costs of labor material, equipment and sales and/or use taxes as applicable.

 

An estimate of the scope and nature of the work is prepared, but detailed plans and specifications are not required. The “invitation for quotations” need not be advertised: however the invitation will be sought from all appropriate contractors on the “small works roster. The contractor must still follow these guidelines:

  • hold a valid Washington State Contractor’s License
  • pay prevailing wages on all projects and provide proper documentation
  • provide performance and payment bonds prior to commencing work
  • provide performance and payment bonds prior to commencing work
  • Commercial General Liability Insurance of at least $1,000,000 per occurrence and at least $2,000,000 in the annual aggregate
  • Business Auto Liability of at least $1,000,000 per occurrence extending to any automobile
  • Employer’s Liability (Stop-Gap) of at least $1,000,000 per occurrence
  • USL&H as required
  • ability to name the Port as an Additional Named Insured
